Doctors Appointment

On Thursday November 11th, Charlotte had a doctors appointment, with Dr. Phinney. We have heard all kinds of great things about this doctor, so we were looking forward to meeting him. We waited about 40 minutes before we were called back. Charlotte did pretty good while we were waiting, just starting getting a little fussy towards the end.

The nurse weighed her and she is now 8 pounds and 12 ounces. Really wished they measured her but they said they don't because they don't grow that fast yet. I was bummed. oh well, at least she is gaining weight well.

While we were waiting for the doctor to come check her out, Mike was enteratining her. It was pretty cute.

Blowing rassberries on her belly:)

Chillin'

A little family picture while waiting for the doc.
Really wish I would ahve gotten a video of the doctor making her dance. It was pretty cute. Maybe Mike and I will give it a try to see if I can capture it on video to post. Next appointment is two days before Christmas.

Halloween

For Halloween this year, we did a low key celebration. in the morning we took Charlotte to Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon to meet some friends of mine. While we were there I wanted to get a few pictures of Charlotte.

Daddy and his little lady at the corn bath!
Daddy shooting off mini pumpkins at old signs

Finally our first family picture. I totally forgot to take one while in the hospital. What a bad mommy I am

Charlotte in a pile of pumpkins wearing her cute little outfit my friend Mel got. So glad the weather was cool enough for her to sport it at the pumpkin patch

Mommy digging a hole in the corn bath to put Charlotte in so she was completly surrounded by corn. This I do to get pictures

Charlotte Playing in the corn bath!

Finally A picture of our little lady bug. The outfit didn't last too long due to her spitting up all over it. At least I got some pictures of her in the outfit all cleaned before it happened.

Catching up

We got home from the hospital on Wednesday October 20th. the first night was a long night and it ended with Charlotte and I passing out together in the middle of burping her. I woke up to Mike taking pictures of us passed out the following morning.
We both sleep the same way with our mouths wide open.

Charlotte was able to meet her Great Grandma Isabel only a few days after she was born. Great Grandma was so excited to meet her.

While Mike was gone Charlotte got her first sponge bath. My mom was there to help me out. Charlotte hated every minute of the bath.

Daddy Said he would watch Charlie, so I could get some sleep in. This was his idea of watching her. He made a little bed on the desk so she could lay there while he played WOW. Every once in awhile he would take some time to play with her.

I made a little welcome home sign for Daddy. We sure did miss him. It was a tough 5 days without him but we made it through thanks to all the family and friends that helped out.
Daddy sure missed his little girl. They snuggled on the couch the rest of the day together. Max didn't quite know what to think. He missed Mike too and wanted his time with him also.

Baby Charlotte

I have wanted to start a blog since the day I found out I was pregnant. Well here I am 9 months later after she has made her way... At least I am finally starting it.

So Charlotte Isabel Magaletti made her way into our lives after almost 24 hours of labor and deliviery with 3 and a half hours of pushing. She was born on October 18th, 2010 at 1:12pm. Weighing in at 7 pounds and 8 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long.

On Sunday October 17th Mike and I went for a walk around 2:30 because I was so bored. Not even 10 minutes into our walk I thought my water might have broke but wasn't too sure so we kept on walking and about 20 minutes into I was pretty sure it had so we made our way home and called the hospital. they told us to come in. Mike and I ran around getting the last minute things together to take with us. Me straighting my hair and Mike shaving. Its the little things:)

We got checked into the hospital at 4:10pm and it was confirmed that my water did break. they moved me to a labor and delivery room and since I wasn't feeling any contractions they put me on pitocin which worked quite well I would ahve to say to where i went to 3cm pretty fast and that when i ask for the epidural. in an hour and a half i went up to 4cm and then i was finally able to get some rest. about 5 hours later I had jumped all the way to 9cm, they were pretty shocked I went up so fast. So I woke up Mike which he didn't believe me since they said I should go up a cm every hour and a half.

Finally around 9:30am on the 18th of oct I started to push. since she was face up it took longer then they thought to have her. After 3 1/2 hours of pushing she finally entered our lifes. It was tough but such a joy when she was placed onto my chest.

One Proud Daddy!!!
